Brief: ‘Perfect Mistake’ ring joins Bulgari’s B.zero1 collection
BY LESLIE JORDAN CLARY
In 1999, Bulgari designers were busy creating a celebratory new ring to welcome the new millennium. The winner, plucked from three prototypes, was a refined, uniform gold ring. But the other two prototypes refused to be forgotten. Prototype two came as a unique blend of white, yellow and pink gold, while prototype three was a delicate band. Now known as the “Perfect Mistake” ring, these unconventionally bold creations have found their home as the most recent editions to Bulgari’s B.zero1 collection. As well as the three-toned gold, the thicker ring also comes in a pink and white two-gold version. The thinner band swings between two pendants of Bulgari signature accent jewels.
