Alfred Cartier found inspiration in the Far East for many of Cartier’s 19th century creations. “Asia Imagined in the Baur and Cartier Collections,” an upcoming exhibition at Geneva’s Musée des Arts d’Extrême-Orient, will showcase Cartier jewelry designs inspired by travels to China and Japan. Highlights of the show include jade dragons, exquisite silks, and colorful porcelain lacquer works. The exhibit runs Nov. 12, 2015, through Feb. 14, 2016.

Yale University Press will be publishing a catalogue by the same name as the exhibit in time with the exhibit opening.
