Renowned Hong Kong-based actor Andy Lau stars in a short film promoting the newest addition to the Cartier Tank family. In the 91-second clip, Lau moves seamlessly through the scenes of his daily life, aided by the dependable timekeeping machinations of the Cartier Tank MC (“Manufacture Cartier”) watch.
The late September launch of the heftier iteration of the classic make comes just four years shy of its centennial birthday. Other versions in the past have included the Tank Anglaise, Tank Louis Cartier, and the Tank Solo, which notwithstanding variations in face size or color, have all accommodated angular Roman numerals, the Tank’s idiosyncratic square-on-rectangle face shape, and a sapphire-set crown.
Retailing for a cool $6,600 (for the stainless steel option), the Tank MC Watch will also feature a transparent crystal case and in-house movement.
