The blue dial on these men’s wristwatches in an extremely difficult color to reproduce.

In celebration of the “Bvlgari Bvlgari 40^th anniversary,” Bulgari has brought out two ladies wristwatches in a 26 mm or 33 mm stainless-steel case, mother-of-pearl dial, brilliant-cut diamond hour markers, and a diamond-set bezel. Also in recognition of the anniversary, men’s models have been given a new facelift with a blue dial designed to be the same shade as Bulgari’s sapphires. In order to reproduce the exact shade of sapphire, craftsmen use about 20 layers of lacquer, a process that can take up to one week. The blue dial is only available on the 41 mm Bvlgari Bvlgari model and the 38 mm Octo.
