Bulgari is well known for its colorful rainbow of gemstones and this is reflected brilliantly in its new MVSA high jewelry collection. The unveiling of the new collection took place recently in Paris at a lavish event. Bulgari’s newest model, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, wore a ruby and emerald necklace with matching bracelet and demonstrated to guests various ways to wear the ensembles.

A defining characteristic of the MVSA collection is the takhti cut, which Bulgari has reinterpreted. The hemi-cylindrical takhti shape originates in India, where it was used in the rooftop tiles of the palaces of the Maharajas. The MVSA name is a tribute to the nine muses of Greek mythology who ruled over art, poetry, and music.
