Less than a year after Fabergé’s Lady Compliquée Peacock won the Ladies’ High-Mech award at the prestigious Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, the watchmaking feat has been rolled out in a trio of new tantalizing colors. While the original was a vision in white with diamonds, Paraiba tourmalines, and tsavorites speckling its dial, the latest pieces feature bracelets that match the rubies, emeralds, or black sapphires that now mingle with diamonds at the heart of the watch. Gemstones aren’t the only aspects that stun with this creation, though. Minutes are indicated by the unfurling of the peacock’s feathers — a process which is powered by the counter clockwise rotation of the hours ring.
