Brief: Van Cleef & Arpels celebrates Parisian expansion with a special edition jewelry set
BY KAREN AANONSEN
Van Cleef & Arpels opened its first boutique at the Place Vendôme in 1906. Now, 110 years later, the jeweler has expanded its presence at the legendary Parisian square with a new salon. Located at number 20, the space — designed by the Jouin Manku agency to showcase contemporary and heritage pieces — is just steps away from the original Van Cleef & Arpels outpost at number 22. And what better way to herald the label’s growth than with a limited edition bauble set? Available exclusively at the Vendôme are a quartet of Alhambra pieces featuring blue Sèvres porcelain and diamonds set in yellow gold. The pendant, long necklace, bracelet, and earrings prove a flawless dedication to the flagship store, exuding the timeless elegance that the lucky-charm motif Alhambra collection has been known for since its creation in 1968.
