Bulgari has developed a reputation for its exquisite, ultra-thin watches. In 2014 the brand set a world record for the thinnest hand-wound Octo Finissimo Tourbillion. Now at the recent Baselworld, Bulgari has set another world record for the super-thin design of the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater. The previous “thinnest minute repeater in the world” was held by Piaget, which in 2013 unveiled the Emperador Coussin Ultra-thin Minute Repeater. The Octo Finissimo holds a movement that measures 3.12 mm, yet the melodious and clear crystal chiming sound has not been compromised. Titanium makes the case extremely light weight and provides a good soundboard for the chimes.
