Brief: Boucheron’s latest earrings are wildly glamorous
BY KAREN AANONSEN
Boucheron’s menagerie keeps growing. Favorite creations Nuri, the cockatoo and Hirunda, the swallows now perch atop pendant earrings. Both new avian accessories feature a tear drop frame that extends from a single diamond stone set below a chic, circular base — but while Nuri displays a colorful playfulness, Hirunda exudes icy elegance. Each piece of the former set finds two birds nuzzling on a pink gold swing, their plumage sparkling with orange, pink, and yellow round sapphires, as well as pavé tsavorites. The Hirunda pair, however, stands out for its absence of hues, complementing a white gold skeleton with diamonds and striking black lacquer. The jewels join a collection of necklaces, pendants, watches, and rings that also bear the swallow and cockatoo motifs.
