Loris Cecchini took a year to design Chaumet’s latest Class One watch.

The large-scale installation Resonances by Italian artist Loris Cecchini, in collaboration with Chaumet, is on display at the brand’s flagship Place Vendôme boutique through March 31. The two pieces making up the installation are symbolic of mathematical formations in the natural world and include a suspended steel sculpture and a waterlike formation. As part of the project, Chaumet also invited Cecchini to design a new Class One watch. The limited-edition all-white timepiece uses monochromatic tones and comes with a rippling strap and mother-of-pearl dial. Chaumet’s Class One model was the first women’s diver’s watch. The timepiece is both sporty and chic, and Cecchini’s art lends itself beautifully to the watch.
