Brief: Harrods, Fabergé collaborate for Easter
BY JORDAN CLARY
In celebration of the Fabergé’ legend, Harrods department store in London has collaborated with Fabergé to host “Fabergé Easter,” an exhibition showcasing highlights of the jewelry designer’s prestigious creations. From the iconic Imperial Easter Eggs to contemporary designs, Harrod’s Brompton Road windows will trace a timeline of Fabergé’s royal past and some of the distinguished beneficiaries of these valuable gifts. Among the highlights of the exhibition is the gold, diamond and nephrite Apple Blossom Egg, designed in 1901. This is the first time the egg will be displayed in a non-museum environment. The collaboration also includes a tribute to renowned Parisian artist Frédéric Zaavy. This is the first time the late Zaavy’s collection will be seen in its entirety since its creation.
