Rose gold is on the rise as the year’s hottest metal for fashioning high jewelry. Some brands such as Tiffany & Co. are incorporating it to such a degree that they are releasing entire collections entirely in rose gold without using any traditional yellow gold, silver or platinum. Others like Chaumet and Cartier are using it as a compliment with other high-end metals to create delicate, stackable jewelry. An alloy of gold and copper, rose gold gives off a soft rose glow. Depending upon the amount of copper used, the colors can range from a gentle pink hue to a deeper sunset shade.
